"Kermit's traces its roots to a humble yet inspiring beginning, deeply rooted in family, tradition, and a passion for great food."
It all started with my grandmother, Mama Ida, whose love for baking led her to sell her pastries through libod—the old-fashioned way of going house to house. In our little hometown, her signature creations like Chocolate Rolls, Tart Amandine, Caramel Tarts, Upside-down Cake, Rosemarie Cake, Elizabeth Cake, Gateaux, Pies, and savory favorites like Croquettas became well-loved by the community.
Her eldest daughter, my mom, was her constant companion and assistant, learning the recipes and techniques that would later become the foundation of Kermit's. With her own passion and determination, my mom opened a small shop of her own, where she introduced new favorites like the irresistible Brazo de Mercedes, which quickly became a crowd favorite.
Over time, her dedication gained her a loyal customer base, and Kermit's grew into what it is today—a brand celebrated for its homemade pastries and meals. While we continue to adapt to evolving trends in the pastry world, we remain committed to preserving the timeless classics that have been part of our family for generations.
From our family to yours, every bite we make is crafted with love and history.

Mama Ida, our family’s inspiration.
